I don't know who will end up reading this but I needed to write something about a teacher I had in college. My 3D instructor who did quite a lot to inspire me to get further into the career that I am now in.

I'll admit right here that I didn't try nearly as much as I probably should have in getting my degree, but because of teachers like him, I kept going, everyday, kept asking questions. He made it fun and interesting at all times and always had something fun to talk about. Because of him I ended up staying after class till everyone else had gone, everyday, just so I can talk to him some more about 3d modeling or game design or what have you. I looked up to him because he was never satisfied with just doing one thing, he always kept looking for more things to learn ranging from metal welding, sculpting, level design, animation, composing, scratch model building in the sci fi community, and even fiddled with circuit boards and computer chips.

He died last week Tuesday.

I didn't know him as well as his close friends and relatives but I was devastated to hear the news nonetheless.

I just wish I could tell him how hard I'm going to work at my 3d modeling, how much his teaching meant to me, and how much I'll miss being able to message him here in deviantart asking him how he did something or just to tell him about a new game I found.


the last I ever saw of him was at my graduation this past year, and he wished me good luck in my career and with the path ahead of me, than I said goodbye and went off to enjoy being a college graduate...
